I'm going to visit my Hong Kong high school today!!! There's something like an open day, so hopefully I can be taking pictures and show some of them on here =D

Hong Kong! and stuff!

Haven't updated for ages.... cuz Hong Kong is too much fun!! haha. The heat's making a lot of traveling impossible actually. The best activity is to sit in an air-conditioned room and chill =) But I've heard it's the same case in Toronto =( I hope everyone's fine =)

I need some input from ppl. I've joined facebook thinking that it would be a good way of keeping in touch with kids I've taught. But lately I'm not as comfortable with it as I thought I would have been. I'm pretty tired of having to guess who is who thru what I can tell from their limited profiles (and lack of pictures). And then there are jokes on facebook that I'm.... just not too comfy seeing, lol.

I'm thinking of deactivating the account in maybe a few week's time. Any reason not to?! Let me know!!!

Counting Down -- 12 hours to go!!!

Oh my -- I haven't packed half of what should have been there!!!! Where're my clothes???!!! I need to charge my DS!!! And my laptop!!! ahhhhh!!!!

But at least I have the 3 most important things -- passport, HK ID and my card for traveling to mainland China.

What else should I bring??

Oh my. I think some of my kids are psychics... they just KNOW what I think and what I like, etc etc. I LOVE dried mangoes!!!! They're so yummy and sweet =) I'm almost finishing the whole bag!!!

Now before I finish the whole thing, I think I should start packing -- after all I'm leaving in about 48 hours! So excited!!! I'll be meeting up with my parents, sis and bro! The last time the 5 of us got together was probably back in... what, 2003/04? lol!

OK... so today's Tues. Tm's Wed. And I'm heading back to DA... But.... what? Where've all the kids gone? Where've my preps (1) gone?! Such a rip off (2) lol

Anyway. My room's almost packed (meaning not even close), and I still have to pack for HK... ah! So much to do, so little time!!!

Ahhh. It's going to feel weird not having to check my schedule, not thinking of ways to torture the kids, not seeing all 100 or so trouble makers at school.

Weird. But not necessarily good. lol.

Anyway, another day, another destiny(3).

To end this post, a few words on the blog. I started this blog during a PD session, cuz I've always thought it'd be cool to do some kind of authentic writing on the internet, and I should try it out first, and ya da ya da ya. So this was started, but never really used. But now I might just keep the blog going, and see where it will take me. I've expected my students (or, EX- students???!!!) to be reading this, so I'll try to keep the content PG-13 (no reviews on horror films for example), and grammar perfect. (As I said, I'll try to. TRY TO.)

Another thing: my blog photo's taken by MA, a raising photographer, full of potential. =) Clean images, pretty colour contrasts, good compositions; I'd give the pics a solid 4. esp LOVE the portraits!

(1) prep: periods when teachers don't have a class and they get to prepare work for students
(2) my prep schedule was a bit interesting... they all concentrate on day 6-10... so I had a week of intense teaching and another week of relaxation. last week was my tough week, so this week would have been the easy week lol
(3) the 2 lines were taken from my fav. musical, "Les Miz" =D

Ah! Last day of school, second last period, still hours away from fully packed! My room's a mess -- as always!
